Microblading (3D Brow Tattoo)
Final touch up complete. Brow perfection for this bride to be.jpg

What is it?

A special method of applying Hair like strokes using permanent make up pigment, containing iron oxides versus tattoo ink, to create fuller looking brows that can last up to 2 years.

Although there are a few different names like, microstroking, micropigmentation, eyebrow embroidery, feathering and 3D eyebrows, the goal to create the perfect brow is the same. This method of enhancement originated in Asis and Europe over 20 years ago and continues to grow all over the United States.

The tool used resembles a small blade. It is made up of small microneedles or "microblades". The blade is then dipped into the pigment and scracthed on the surface of skin imitating a hair like appearance. Choose your artist based on the look you are trying to achieve and always request photos of healed results!

Following after care instructions is vital to the healed appearance and retention of your beautiful new brows.

Is it a tattoo?

Yes and No. Although the skin is penetrated and color left behind the results are different. Permanent Make Up pigments consists of iron oxides. This allows the pigment to fade gradually over time, unlike tattoo ink which in most cases turns hideous shades of red, pink, purple and green.

Another difference in the methods is the depth of the microblade. The proper depth is the upper layer of the dermis using a hand method of scratching motions. An experienced artist will find the 'sweet spot' and the results will heal in a crisp fine stroke. if the skin is penetrated too deeply, the color retention is less than expected, scarring may occur and the strokes appear blurry.

Does it hurt?

Relative. Most compare the feeling to threading but there are several who say it tickles. Numbing agents are used to minimize any discomfort. Following Pre Procedure Instructions will also play a huge part on your skins sensitivity. Blood thinning medications or heavy alcohol use right before can make for an uncomfortable session, fyi.

Because microblading provides the most realistic,natural-looking long term results, its easy to say goodbye to long daily brow routines. Take the extra time and fuel your passion!
